The Traffic Safety Association of Macomb County now offers Segment 1 and Segment 2 Driver Education Classes!

TSA is licensed by the State of Michigan (Provider Certificate Number P000649), and all instructors are carefully selected and background checked. Classes are scheduled monthly, and you will find that we offer classes at very competitive rates. All of our students are treated and instructed with dignity and respect.
Segment 1 consists of 24 hours of classroom instruction, and 6 hours of behind the wheel instruction, and 4 hours of observation time in a dual-controlled automobile, fully-insured, covering each student enrolled in the program. Classroom instruction must be a minimum of 3 weeks in length. Behind the wheel instruction will not begin until the student has received a minimum of 4 hours classroom instruction. Behind the wheel instruction must be completed no later than 3 weeks after the classroom instruction has been completed. Must be 14 years 8 months by the first day of class to enroll into Segment 1.
Refund Policy – Segment 1
- A $100 refund fee is assessed for cancellations prior to the class start date
- During the first two class sessions, if no Behind-The-Wheel (BTW) lessons were given , 50% of the total tuition is refunded
- During the third class session and thereafter, regardless of the amount of BTW lessons, no refund shall be granted
Segment 2 consists of 6 hours of classroom instruction. For a student to participate in Segment 2, a verification log must be received that the student has completed a minimum of 30 hours of “behind-the-wheel” driving (including 2 hours of night driving) with a licensed parent or guardian on a Level 1 license, which has been held for not less than 3 consecutive months.
Segment 2 classes are available to students regardless of where they completed Segment 1.
Refund Policy – Segment 2
- A $25 refund fee is assessed on ALL Refunds.
- Once the class begins, no refund will be issued
