Driver Education Segment 1
Classes are held at the TSA location in Fraser, Michigan.
Students must be at least 14 years and 8 months old by the first day of class.
Segment 1 students will complete:
24 hours of classroom instruction, over 3 weeks
6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction in a dual-controlled, instructor-occupied vehicle.
4 hours of rear seat observation.
Important: Please have a copy or clear photo of the student’s birth certificate available before starting the online registration. The form must be uploaded before registration can be completed.

Driver Education Segment 2
All Segment 2 classes consist of 6 hours of classroom instruction over 3 days and are held at the TSA location in Fraser.
Segment 2 students must have:
Completed Segment 1 (at any location).
Held their Level 1 License/permit for at least 3 consecutive months from the date it was issued by Secretary of State
Completed 30 hours of “behind-the-wheel” drive time, including 2 hours of night driving, with a parent or guardian.
A copy or photo of their Michigan Level 1 License/permit ready for registration.
Important: Please have the student’s Michigan Level 1 License/permit available before you register. The registration form will ask for information from the permit, and you will be required to upload a copy before checkout can be completed.
