This program was designed to deal with young people ages 13-18 who have entered the legal system for a variety of reasons such as “Minor in Possession”, “Loitering”, “Domestic Violence”, “Possession of Narcotics Paraphernalia”, “Possession of Tobacco”, etc. The goal of the YES program is to help the student understand how to avoid future inappropriate decisions which will help them avoid the legal system, cope with peer pressure and communicate with their parents. Emphasis is placed on building self esteem, setting and achieving goals, and effectively dealing with pressure.
